Certech successfully participated in inter-laboratory test organized by VITO in the field of atmospheric pollution. Participation in these tests demonstrates a laboratory’s ability to provide reliable results in measuring gases such as CO, SO2, NOx, O2 and CO2.
As a partner in air quality, Certech’s experts support companies in the context of their regulatory requirements and the evaluation of treatment solutions. The parameters of interest, sampling techniques and analyses are discussed with each customer, in compliance with the specifications. We also develop specific methods when required. Certech’s expertise covers a wide range of parameters and chemical pollutants, with the unusual feature of combining skills in odour analysis (including chemical identification of the molecules responsible for the nuisance).
Our team works directly on industrial sites to carry out the continuous monitoring of the different parameters of interest ((total VOCs, NMVOCs, combustion gases, …). We also perform spot sampling campaigns (specific VOCs, dust, odours, …) which will then be analysed by our laboratory. In addition to these diagnoses, we can also model the atmospheric dispersion of a pollutant or support our customers to develop a plan to reduce their emissions, acting as an independent expert between industry, authorities and local residents.
Certech is active in the field of VOCs and odors for 40+ years and is a reference player in Belgium and at international level thanks to its position as active member in the standardization committees on air quality (CEN / TC264, ISO / TC146 / SC6, CEN / TC137, CEN / TC351, AFNOR B44, CEN / TC386).
