Industry partner delivering innovative and sustainable chemical solutions

Certech supports industrial innovation and collaborative R&D projects with advanced material characterization capabilities, including a state-of-the-art Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) platform. Thanks to its unique modular architecture, the instrument can be configured for both DMA measurements using a linear drive and rheological testing using a rotary drive, providing exceptional versatility within a single analytical platform.

DMA is a powerful technique for investigating how the mechanical properties of materials evolve as a function of temperature, time, frequency and applied load. It is widely used to compare formulations, evaluate processing effects, monitor material ageing, and determine key transition temperatures such as the glass transition. The technique is also particularly valuable for process development and intensification, enabling real-time monitoring of chemical reactions, curing processes, crystallization phenomena, and damage evolution during fatigue testing.

The equipment allows tensile, compression, bending and torsion experiments to be performed on a broad range of materials under highly controlled conditions. Measurements can be conducted from −160 °C to +600 °C, over a frequency range of 0.001 to 100 Hz, with displacement amplitudes up to 9.4 mm, offering outstanding flexibility for both research and industrial applications.

These capabilities make DMA an indispensable tool for the development, optimization and qualification of polymers, composites, adhesives, coatings, elastomers, and bio-based materials, helping manufacturers accelerate innovation while gaining deeper insight into material performance throughout their lifecycle.
